This page explains what EdgeMind collects on this website and why.
Who we are
- EdgeMind Apps, Cairo, Egypt, runs this website and decides how your data is used.

What we collect
- If you join the waitlist: your email address, the language of the page you used, the date and time you agreed, and the version of this page you agreed to.
- Joining the waitlist is optional, and this website works the same without it. We don't ask for your name, phone number or payment details.
- We don't store your IP address. Our hosting provider processes it to deliver this website, block bots and count visits.
Why we use it
- To email you when EdgeMind launches.
- Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), which you give by ticking the box and joining the waitlist.
- To deliver this website and keep it safe from attacks and spam. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in a working, secure website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Apart from the bot check, which decides on its own whether the form can be sent, we make no automated decisions about you.
Bot check
- The waitlist form uses our hosting provider's bot check to make sure a person, not a bot, sent it.
- It processes your IP address, browser details and the website you're on. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam and abuse (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).
- Our hosting provider may also use these signals, as their controller, to improve its bot detection.
Visit statistics
- We count visits with our hosting provider's visit statistics, to see which pages people read, from which countries and on which devices.
- They use no cookies, save nothing on your device and don't follow you from site to site. We see only totals, never who you are.
- Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in improving this website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). You can object at any time by emailing support@edgemind.dev, or stop it with an ad blocker.
Who handles your data
- Our hosting provider, a cloud infrastructure company in the United States, hosts this website, runs the form and the bot check, stores the waitlist and counts visits for us.
- It works for us under a data processing agreement. You can ask us for its name at support@edgemind.dev.
- We never sell or rent your email address, and we share it with no one else.
Where it is stored
- The waitlist is stored in our hosting provider's United States data location.
- If you're outside the United States, your email is transferred there, and our hosting provider may also process your requests in other countries.
- For transfers from the EU, our hosting provider is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its data processing terms add the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. You can ask us for a copy at support@edgemind.dev.
How long we keep it
- Until you leave the waitlist, and no longer than 12 months after EdgeMind launches.
- We keep no IP addresses or bot check data ourselves. Visit statistics are totals only, which can't identify you.
Your rights
- You can ask to see your data and who received it, get a copy, correct or delete it, limit how we use it, or object to our use of it.
- You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing support@edgemind.dev, or with the leave link in any email we send. Withdrawing doesn't affect what we did before.
- You can complain to the data protection authority in your country.
Cookies and storage
- We use no cookies for tracking, ads or statistics.
- Our hosting provider may set a short-lived security cookie to tell people from bots. It's strictly necessary to keep this website safe, so it doesn't need your consent.
- When you pick a language, your browser remembers it on your device, so we don't ask again.
Changes
- If this page changes, we update the date at the top.
